The Information Super Galloway
I am not a jealous person. I have never wished I could be someone else..
For example, when I see pictures of Angelina Jolie I don’t secretly pine to myself, “If only my mouth could look like a vagina.”
But watching George Galloway rip through Norm Coleman’s crackpot theory faster than Horsley can rape a mule, I ached to be him.
His style, his passion, his scathingly fluid remarks toward the unscrupulous Worm Coleman.
Man, I would have given anything to say those things to Senator “Sold My Soulman”.
But at least I got to watch it live.
Now if you missed it, have no fear! You can read the full transcript on the website of the US Senate, er wait, it’s not there. That’s ok, just link to that front page New York Times story that’s just dripping with quotes!”
Yeah, not there either.
WAIT! Here it is.
Wow for a minute there I was thinking there may be a cover up going on but here it is….
IN THE TAIWAN NEWS
Now, it’s understandable you wouldn’t find it on the Senate website because they had to
make room for Kay Bailey Hutchison’s asstastic speech about Pricilla Owen, that sounded like she was sponsoring a sorority pledge, rather than a lifetime judicial appointee.
And in fairness to The New York Times, they did cover the story.
In The International Section
On Page A14
Covered by Judith Filler er Miller.
And call it kismet, but that lying bank robber Ahmed Chalabi, who was an oh so helpful contributor to the brilliantly detailed works of fiction Judy did for the Times leading up to the Iraq war, just so happened to be involved in the works of fiction Norm Coleman has been reciting to the world at large.
Seems so odd she wouldn't mention that fun fact in her piece.
Huh…….
Thank God I thought to look in the Taiwan News.

Want watch the video? Crooks and Liars has it! I played it twice. Once yesterday and I just had to go back and listen to his accent again this morning. He never fumbled. Never had to look down to some paper with his speach (if he even had one). He stared them in the eyes and called them liars! Senator Coleman had to have shite his pants!

Thanks heywood for the link, and you can also find the entire transcript at www.onlinejournal.com. Galloway came out with guns a blazin' and he left NO ONE out. I think Coleman is STILL looking for his balls.

Great post! Never got to hear you on Air America because your program didn't get to the Oakland station, 960am.
Pleeez post more often! Every day! Three times a day! You're the best snarky basher out here along with Wolcott.
Best wishes

yes..that galloway gent showed those suits how it's really done. the start with him looking down at his desk and not looking at coleman or any of the other war-pigs....and then bam..opening fire. he was a political eastwood with that .357 while coleman had a dimestore fishing rod.
one of the few moments of pride i've had with the goings on in washington in the last few years.

Any time someone can make Coleman look like the idiot he is, it's a good day.

George Galloway is definitely my star of the week. Ah, the way the truth was just flowing from his mouth (more like a raging river I guess).
But I wish I coulda seen Coleman's face.
Common Dreams also published the transcript:

I had hoped that Galloway or Robin Cook might have been a guest some time on Unfiltered.
As you say, our media decided it was best not show much of the confrontation.
They just will not challenge this Administration or their backers.

Yeah, what a great guy Galloway is! But his performance at the Senate hearings was just a victory lap after so many greatest hits! I liked it when he applauded Saddam Hussein and said "Sir, I salute your courage, your strength your indefatigability. And I want you to know that we are with you until victory, until victory, until Jerusalem." It was great, because that was in 1994 -- you know, AFTER the Anfal campaign of '88 wherein the "indefatigable" Saddam initaited gas attacks on Kurds, and it was AFTER Saddam had invaded and occupied Kuwait (which we know Galloway is a big fan of, invading and occupying other nations), and also AFTER Saddam's crushing of that little post-Irag War rebellion (I guess George only supports certain kinds of insurgencies). So it was way cool when he went there to give support to Saddam -- the poor guy, he'd hardly had a decent attempt at genocide in like three years. I also liked how Gorgeous George shared the "till Jerusalem quote" -- it's always nice to call for the destruction of another country. That shows a balanced appraisal of a complex situation. Awesome guy, that George. Calls for the release of Milosevic, his jew-hanging buddy Tariq Aziz, and no doubt soon will be demanding the release of Saddam himself. Wait, maybe that isn't so cool. I do get a little confused sometimes. But he DID embarass a Republican senator. That's gotta be about equal, right?
